KAIROS AUTONOMI RELEASES PRONTO4 PRODUCT INNOVATIONS

Support Sets, Power Upgrades and New Steering Ring will be on display at AUVSI North America 2012

Kairos Autonomi®, a world leader in manufacturing robotic appliqué kits, has released three product innovations to enhance Pronto4 Robotic Appliqué Kit functionality in support of Kairos’ growing domestic and international base.

The three product enhancements — installation, support and test sets, Pronto4 native power from either 12 or 24V, and a right angle steering ring — will be on display in Kairos’ booth (#4215) at the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) 2012 tradeshow to be held in Las Vegas Aug. 6-9.

“These product innovations facilitate our customers’ operation and maintenance of the Pronto4,” said Troy Takach, President and CEO of Kairos Autonomi. “We are empowering our customers worldwide with additional knowledge and capability that can directly benefit their efforts.”

A description of each product innovation follows below:
  • Installation, Support and Test Sets: provide enhanced support for customers, developers and distributors worldwide.
    • Packaged in one convenient kit, the Installation Hardware Set includes all of the brackets, adapters, disconnects, tools, nuts, screws and documentation needed to install a Pronto4.
    • The Support Hardware Set provides standard and non- standard brackets, screws, adapters, disconnects and attachments for supporting users in remote or international locations with five or more Pronto4s.
    • The Test Board Set allows developers and distributors to perform field test and diagnostics of Pronto4 systems functionality and allows end users to field qualify a Pronoto4 from an ATP, which is helpful when the Pronto4 may have been damaged due to a destructive field test or training event.
  • Native 12 or 24V power source: the Pronto4 Robotic Appliqué Kit has been enhanced to natively accept either a 12 or 24V power source. This allows a tighter integration with military, industrial and commercial vehicles.
  • Right-angle Steering Ring: Kairos Autonomi has modified its standard steering ring actuator to utilize a right angle gearbox that moves the steering motor parallel to the steering ring rather than at a 90-degree angle. The right angle gearbox provides a much lower profile and enables the orientation of the motor shaft to be oriented in any direction parallel to the steering ring without losing any power and functionality. The ring also allows the actuator to fully disengage when driving manually.
